whats the best path for a student

Sulaco, do the folowing

1)get some money.

2)buy a camera.

3)get some editing software for your MAC or PC.

4)learn as much as you can about filmmakinng as humanly possible.

5)Shoot somes stuff, get it processed, edited and put it on tape.You now have a reel.

6)show it to anyone who might care.

thing is im getting really fucked off at college and need a job anyway so is wise to quit and start making some shorts. If so how should i start. none of my friends can act to save their lives and my camera is 10 years old. i can edit really good though on the pc. also where should i send them off to. I know im asking a lot but i really don't have a clue.plese help

Well, If I was a broke like you living in England, I would try and hook up with some of the really cool bands coming out of there and make a music video.
